The Wind Industry is a natural fit for Nordic Fiberglass, Inc. Since 1999, we have been manufacturing fiberglass box pads for pad-mount transformers situated at the base of wind generators (see the box pad the upper right picture). Our box pads have evolved from a simple “box” design to a new “chute” design that allows underground cables from the tower to come up into the pad-mount transformer. The box pad also provides a supportive platform for the transformer. 

We also manufacture three phase sectionalizing cabinets for the collection side of the wind farm (as seen on the picture to the right). Most of our three phase sectionalizing cabinets for wind farms are designed to accommodate electrical junctions for 600Amp applications.
