Overhead wires from the riser pole transition to underground cables. These underground cables are trenched below the ground surface and are fed underneath the cabinet’s flange. Once inside the sectionalizing cabinet, electrical elbows are attached to the under ground cable. The elbows plug into an electrical junction that is attached to a mounting plate inside the cabinet. From here the underground cables go to either a transformer or to another sectionalizing cabinet.
Hydrant and cabinet markers can be bolted to fire hydrants and cabinets. Fire and utility personnel can easily find snow covered hydrants and electrical cabinets.
Underground secondary wires from a transformer are connected to either a free standing connector or to a connector mounted inside a pedestal. Nordic has a variety of pedestals to choose from.
