Nordic Fiberglass Box Pads are designed to accommodate pad mount electrical equipment. The equipment is either bolted through the top surface of the box pad or it is held down with anchor brackets. The large expansive interior of the box pad allows the equipment installer to loop underground cable around the bottom perimeter of the box pad. In times of elbow failure, the extra cable gives the installer enough slack to make a new elbow without having to splice in new cable.
